Department of Bangla is one of the six founding departments of the university. The department is running academic programs with different cultural, educational and research based activities.  Various little magazines, papers, leaflets etc. are published from the department time to time marking different occasions. The department is also planning to publish a journal very soon.

Programs:

A 4 year semester system (2 semesters per year) of teaching and letter grade system of evaluation is introduced at the B.A (Hon’s) level from the very first batch of students having the academic session 2008-2009.
